[RC] warm spot on back - Mickie Newnam

If your horse has winter hair, the warm spot might be friction. I love the sport saddles, but I know they will rub winter hair off of some horses, over the loins. The friction can cause a bit of heat, but doesn't usually cause problems. If you look at someone sitting in a sport saddle, it's actually difficult to get a lot of pressure on the loin due to the saddle's flexibility. Of course, horses are individuals and weird things can always happen, but unless it gets worse, I'd say it's probably just a little friction.
