Re: [RC] they've yet to pin point exactly what I have - Stephanie E Caldwell

I also know that our lives can end in an instant and so we should treat
everyone accordingly.

That one's been tough for me to learn. I've had a few reminders before now;
I almost lost my mare last summer to a drug overdose. That was a huge eye
opener for me, one day she was healthy, the next morning she was severly
ill. Realizing how fragile this 800lb creature is was tough, realizing
there's sick people in this world who kill innocent animals was equally as
tough!

Many people today have the attitude of "I'm young, so why worry". When I was
17 one of my close friends lost her brother, he was 16, cross country
runner, basketball star, etc... He died of a undiagnosed heart problem in
the shower. That devestated our little group of friends.

I am worried by something you mentioned in your email. When you say they
can't pinpoint exactly what you have, do you mean they don't know what you
have, or they saying they don't know what "flavor" of X syndrome you have?

They haven't been able to figure out *what* I have. I had a drug reaction in
November, the drug that I was given causes MS and Lupus. My primary doc
suspects Lupus with spinal involvement or MS. Neither are the death sentence
they were 10 years ago, but adjusting to living with whatever I have has
been an adventure! I kiddingly tell my riding buddies I have EPM. LOL

IF it's the former, please see some new doctors. If it's the latter
please
clear up our confusion and worry.

I've got several specialists to see in the next six weeks, thankfully!

Either way, may the time you have left be enjoyable, and personally, I
can't
think of anything better than spending it with a horse (though a good dog
is
pretty fantastic as well).

Thanks all for the kind words, I'm off to bed tonight but all of y'all have
really lifted my spirits. :)

Steph
