[RC] insurance for ride managers - Michael Maul

I've been involved with the insurance used to cover endurance rides lately and have a question for ride managers.

The quotes can differ significantly from one company to another. One of the higher quoters claims that the less expensive coverage does not cover volunteers in any way - neither the volunteers personally or any actions by them.
They claim that the only coverage is that of the volunteer themselves for any personal or auto related accidents.

It's my understanding that NATRC has a legal problem now or in the past where an uninsured volunteer driving a truck full of volunteers had an accident - and the ride manager is now liable.

Do any of you ride managers know whether you are covered for volunteers with your present ride insurance?

Mike
