Re: [RC] Cover of EN - Susan Young Casey

The week before Winding Stair was very tramutic for the Burton Family.  Louise's best childhood friend's son was killed in an accident.  Louise and Jesse already planned to leave soon after the end of the ride and drive 20 hours straight to be with the family.  After a mishap with one of the horses at the ride, the Burton's found out that Stormy and Bruce's new mare (beautiful 3y.o. 3/4 Arab/ 1/4 pinto) were killed by lightening.  The other mares around these 2 were in foal.  One mare was knocked to the ground and Jesse was worried she wouldn't make it.  She's fine now as are all their horses that did Winding Stair.

Well...that's their "3".  Everything should be fine for them from now on!

Seriously, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.  Amber and Louise are devistated by the loss of Stormy as are those of us who know her.

I went to the mail box today to find the latest EN but it was bitter sweet to see Amber Burton on her mare Stormy. What a wonderful tribute to them as a team because Amber's mare Stormy was struck by lightning and killed recently. It has been a real heartbreak for everyone who knows them.
