[RC] Electrolytes for people - Randy or Cheryl Winter

In the discussion about electrolytes for people I have found something that
has been working for me. I have had problems with heat and getting that
god awful weak dizzy feeling during rides. Even if I do drink water and a
sports drink, it can still creep up on me. I picked up a can of Slim Fast
in the store to look at the label and thought it may work well for rides,
and it has for me. In one can there is 220 mg of sodium, 600mg of
potassium, 40% of the daily calcium, 10g. of protein, 35g of sugars, and
many more vitamins and minerals, plus fiber so it gives a fuller feeling
after drinking. I like it really cold, shake well, and the chocolate flavors
are to me the best. Sort of like having a chocolate milk shake during the
ride. Also easy to get down if one is prone towards not wanting to eat well
because nothing sounds good, or a dry sandwich just won't slide down. Any
way, may want to give it a try. I am sure some of the other meal
replacement type drinks could work well also.
Just my two cents.
