So maybe it would be a good idea to make those waterproof saddle covers and put them on End. classifieds? Course I have to test the one I made for my saddle first, besides just taking a hose to it?>VBG< Like sit in it, in a bathing suit and turn the hose on me, hhhmmm, bet my son would help me, ,sort of like our own dunking booth. I got a bolt of this waterproof ripstop nylon , and doubled it, and made loops to go under the stirrups, added some elastic, and some ties to front. I have an aussie/endu. saddle and no one makes anything that fits it.Essencially it is a long rectangle, .I did cut a small button hole to bring my ties through to tie my sheepskin saddle seat cover on top, so it wouldn't be so slippery.I just wanted to keeep the leather partially dry, not me nescessarily. Laurei/Rascal(who has turned around and is now acting sassy again, maybe on the upside now.

Ahh Tom,
This is what I like about you. You are one person who makes *me* feel
normal. >eg< Actually, the first *several* years I did endurance we had
rain, tornadoes, hail storms and more rain at practically every ride. I
didn't realize anyone *ever* left a ride without being towed out by a
tractor. Since my daughter started competing a few years back and she
rode for 2 years without getting rained on I began to sound like the old
timers talking about how, "Back when *I* started it rained 2" during
every ride..etc. etc." She was actually glad this year when she finally
got rained on. This feels normal to me...but I definately prefer
abnormal. :-)

Remember, what's bad for one is good for another. We just had another
violent storm and my husband who works for the Electric Power Board got
called back in. That means *overtime pay*. Maybe by the time they
reschedule OD I'll have a horse *and* the entry fee. :-))
