Re: [RC] What did your horse teach you??? - CharlesI've only had two horses. Keepers taught me horses can connect to their owners and that it may change, but it never goes away. I could spend hours grooming her. When we rode, she made sure I didn't fall off or have any problems. She galloped when I wanted her to go, she walked when we needed to walk. My biggest regret is her ringbone and sidebone got so bad I can't really ride her anymore. Jon taught me that I only ride at the horses pleasure. If he doesn't want to be ridden, he will find a way to make it miserable. If he's in the mood, then it will be a delight. Charles PS: Keepers is a jealous horse and doesn't let me forget it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tamara Taylor" <tam319@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, May 31, 2003 7:53 PM Subject: [RC] What did your horse teach you??? Hi List, I am interested to hear what you all have to say about this topic. How did that one special horse in your life touch you, and what did you learn from it? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
