everything was laced with electrolytes
too.

Can't say as how I blame him for turning up his nose.  The LAST thing I want
when I'm hot and tired is something "laced with electrolytes."  I think we'd
be better off taking the time to encourage our horses to really EAT at rides
and getting the natural e-lytes that are in the food instead of just pumping
them full of e-lytes anyway.  The horses that I've had that would REALLY
chow down consistently that have had NO lytes have been much closer to
normal panels at rides that have done bloodwork than have the majority of
the heavily e-lyted horses (many of whom were not eating well).  And I think
recent information about ulcers will bear out that we've once again gone
overboard with a supposedly "good idea" and are actually maybe causing more
harm than good.....
