[RC] Trailer windows - too big? - Heather Saunders

I just purchased a Logan Qualifier slant load trailer
that has HUGE drop down windows with screens. I never
really thought about them being so big before until my
friend mentioned that they are so big a horse may
think about going through it if frightened (much like
a horse going into the manger of a straight load).

Has anyone had a bad experience with these type of
drop downs? I prefer the drop down windows with the
aluminum bars, but couldn't find one at the time I was
buying. Do people haul with the windows down with the
screens? and if so, aren't you worried about not
having the protection of the wall/window in front of
the horse's head in the event of an accident?

Comments/stories/concerns would be appreciated!
thanks.
