RE: [RC] [RC] ? Question on which size truck bed, long or short? - Snodgrass, Bonnie

It's not the bed that's getting dented, it's the rear of the cabs. The short
bed places the hitch closer to the cab and the cab gets dented when a tight
turn is made.

Just curious, how are you guys denting the truck beds?? I have two long
bed trucks and pulled two different goosenecks with them and have not
dented them. Is there something I should be looking for and just got lucky
so far??

PS I love a long bed, holds more hay and those water barrels when you
need to carry alot. Had to order my last truck to get what I wanted in an
engine AND the long bed. Hard to find anymore.

I had a long bed, dented it bad with my gooseneck, I now have a short bed
and it doesn't come close, of course the height of the gooseneck and the
height of the truck play a role in that too.

I have seen a badly dented truck that had a short bed and was used to haul

Hi everyone,

If anyone has an opinion I could sure use the help deciding lenghts for
our
new truck. We are pulling a 3 horse fifth wheel and would like to know
your
pros or cons on the bed lenght. We were thinking the shorter bed would
make
it easier for getting around,
but would it stop us later on from having a larger fifth wheel trailer
with
living quarters?

Thankyou!
Susie
