Re: [RC] [Guest] Center Fire Rigging - Jackie

I have ridden Paso's for quite some time... I have never really
stopped to think of the pro's and cons... But, most of the Columbian
and McClellan saddles are center fire rigged. I haven't had any
problems with them. They are very adjustable. They can be adjusted so
they don't slide forward. Some come with more adjustment capabilities
than others.

Can anyone explain the purpose, pro's and/or cons of Center Fire
riging?
I've just purchased (but have not yet received) a saddle with center
fire
rigging for my young Paso. One of my stablemates says that it could
pull
the saddle forward onto the shoulders, which would not be desirable
for a
gaited horse.
