Re: [RC] [RC] Postings about AERC records and changes - Michael Maul

DeAnn,

If the RM will not respond - then there is nothing that the office can do.

The office cannot change pull codes that they have no knowledge of other than the info from the RM.

You could file a protest under AERC rules

http://www.aerc.org/documents/rules2000.htm

Have you tried the informal protest route below involving your regional director? I realize that it says 10 days but perhaps your regional director can resolve it with the RM.

Resolution of alleged infractions affecting ride results and awards that have not been satisfactorily addressed in the course of a competition may not require a formal protest. The following procedures are suggested as ways in which this might be done, but are not deemed complete until and unless agreed upon adjustments to ride results and awards are carried out, and competitors have been notified of the terms of the resolution.

AERC Director and/or Rules Committee assistance.

When the competitor/management interaction fails, and/or the infraction is alleged more than 48 hours after the ride date, then an AERC Regional or At-Large Director must be contacted and this director should attempt to resolve the matter in consultation with the Rules Committee.

If no resolution is reached within 10 days after the ride date, a charge may be continued only if a protest is filed.

Whenever a Director finds a case to be particularly complicated and/or an apparent infraction would require imposition of a penalty other than the normal penalties involved in the application of competition rules, that Director should recommend that the offended party file a protest with the Protest and Grievance Committee if that party wishes to pursue the charge.

This is really getting frustrating. Several months ago I
found, from the online ride results, that one of my horses
was listed as being pulled from a ride for lameness. I can't
imagine how as he wasn't even there that day! He did show up
the evening of the day he was supposedly pulled in order to
be ridden in the place of the horse that WAS p...

The office has been behind on corrections due to a lot of
the "*" message fixes that went out recently.

The problem Rae discusses in the post above has been
corrected by the office - Rae - can you confirm this?

Riders should be aware that you can't email the office and
say - my horse is listed as DNF for lameness and I want it
changed to Rider Option. The ridemanager and head vet must
agree to this change. The office can make changes if the
horse wasn't there or something similar.
