Try the No Sweat Vent Pad. It keeps the pad in place and the horse's back
cooler and the wool pads really clean, (even on a really dirty horse). I
hand stitched a patch of the fuzzy portion of velcro so that the electrode
of the heart monitor would stick to it . The alternative is to just drop the
electrode over the back to the off side and it keeps itself in place.

I use the wool pad that came with it. However, in the
beginning, these were too short and the flap rubbed my
horse's sides. They have apparently made them longer and I
just received a new cotton set from Marlene. Haven't had a
chance to use them though. Will also be replacing the wool.
All in all I like the pads, however it would be nice to use
a lightweight liner to keep the wool set from getting so
dirty. I tried a polar fleece liner (per Lari Shea's
suggestion) but it just slid out from under the saddle.
More trouble than it was worth to me, so I'm getting some
extras so I will always have a clean set.
