addition to all the very good advice given.
If you
get out on the trail it will get a little easier. When my ponyhorse (boss of the
herd) starts giving the led hore funny looks I firmly leg-jield her back away
from the other one and give her a hard time sidepassing down the trail (she
hates that at a trot). Only need to do that once every ride, she gets that
message quickly. Would be difficould in the arena due to all
the corners.
Long
rope is needed on narrow trails. If the led horse has to move behind the pony,
it should be able to leave enough room.
