One of the most common symptoms of Lyme disease in dogs is sore, achey
joints.

Quite honestly, if the vet doesn't think it should be treated, why
would you treat?  One of the BIG problems in small animal practice is
people trying to fix what isn't broke!  It very commonly blows a
non-issue into a HUGE issue!
