Howard!  Boogie, boogie!!  Yes!
As for barefoot, whatever works for you and the horse is the thing to do.  I
rode my 5 yr old this past summer with shoes only on the front.  He did
quite well, back feet held up.  I have to say, that most of his rides were
just training rides, but what the hey?  And our arthritic right ankle horse
went barefoot and did 3 25s.  He was tender on stones though.  My mare?  she
wore shoes.  Jeanie
