[RC] Dalmation thanks - Maryanne Stroud Gabbani

Thanks all for the suggestions. We did an x-ray and it looks rather like a disc, but our testing for animals here is pretty primitive and it's hard to tell really. She is on prednisone, a diuretic, a muscle relaxant, and vitamins. She also is, thank heaven, a perfect size for Pampers' largest diaper, which makes life a lot drier. She still has control of her bowels, but if she's really tired as she is right now, the bladder sneaks through. We are giving her Vitamin B complex every other day IM and she gets 10 cc of honey about 3 times a day. She's eating soupy food and being a pain about drinking, but the honey makes her thirsty. I have about 11 dogs here, so I've been spending my nights in the study with her to be sure she's ok. She has to be turned every 3 hours. My housekeeper and her son are moving in with me for the duration as well, since this isn't something that can really be handled by a single person. I really hope she will be ok. I have my TTouch book coming back from the barn today and we will start that as well. Haven't told my daughter yet as she is in the midst of final exams and won't be able to help anyway.

I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again
