[RC] itching and loading - julie fox

I don't know about the itching, but I had the same loading problem with my
horse in that she would follow me on, but wouldn't stand there long enough to
shut the butt bar. What worked for me was running a long line from the halter,
through the front tie ring and out the back. That way I could stand next to
the ramp and tap her tail with a lunge whip. I wouldn't pull her in with the
long line, but when she stepped forward I took up the slack so she would not
back out again. When she is finally all the way in, you are right there to
shut the butt bar. It took about 30 minutes to get her in the first time (a
month ago), but now she goes right in as soon as I point the whip at her butt.

Congratulations on your trailer purchase! Those brenderups are great trailers.

Good Luck!
Cristin
