Re: [RC] Cats and Horses - April JohnsonI have a little 1 year old male (fixed) cat that just loves the horses. Whenever I've got the horses up in the holding/feeding/round pen, Miner is right there checking things out and just being all cute. He scares me though. He thinks the horses are like other animals (people, dogs, other cats) and I've often seen him rubbing on the horses' legs. Usually it's ok if the legs are the front legs because the horses see him, but I've also seen him walk up to Serts and rub against Serts' back leg! Serts didn't know he was there and had a very mild reaction and just stomped his foot, didn't kick. Miner was quite confused that his friend would react such a way, but didn't move very far off. I'm not even sure Serts ever knew it was the cat, even after he stomped. To be safe, I scooped the cat up and put him in the house, but it sure did scare me! Some cats can be TOO friendly to horses, I think!
