[RC] Wonderful Farrier... - RDCARRIE

I know farriers are a hot topic - or they at least get a lot of people hot -
I know our previous one made me see red more than once before we sent him
packing. But I've just got to brag on the one we've had for the past year or
so. He keeps appointments, returns calls promptly, does good work, and is
great with the horses, including our 28 yr old who sometimes needs a few
breaks while having his feet done. If he needs to reschedule, he calls
ahead. Today he was to be here at 4:30 pm...he called me at work at 2 pm,
saying that he was running behind and he'd be 30-60 minutes late to our
place...he arrived at 4:55. He listens to what I have to say about any
little problems with how a horse is travelling and then makes adjustments to
fix it. And he's just a really nice guy. Compare this to the guy we had
before, who very seldom kept appointments, never called to reschedule, took
days to return calls, etc. - it was like a treasure hunt to just track him
down to find out what his latest excuse was for not showing up. And our 5
horses stand well for the farrier - we just drop the lead and they don't
move...so it's not like we have poorly behaved horses. Anyhow, if anyone in
the vicinity of Huntsville, TX (he also travels out quite a ways) needs a
farrier, I can recommend a good one. :)

Dawn (very happy to write that check to this farrier every 5 weeks)
