Re: [RC] [RC] alternative mane and tail shine - superpatHi Gabi, I use plain old human hair conditioner. The leave in kind if I find it. When I first got into horses, I was romanced into showing a young gelding who was truly outstanding. I showed him until I figured out that each blue ribbon was costing me an average of $600 considering trainers fees and boarding, etc. Anyway, I remember that they could prep horses until they sparkled. One of their secrets was that they slathered mayonnaise on the manes and left it on for a couple of hours before rinsing it out. I have never tried it so can't tell you from first hand experience. I cannot buy for all of them expensive sheen, shine, retangle products. I live in israel, there are no sales here on horses products, it is very expensive all year round. I already add oil on their concentrated food, but their manes and tails look neglected, unhealthy, not shiny. Are there any home made solutions? gabi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
