[RC] Horse size -- was Rios brother - RhndLev

How old does an Arabian or half-Arabian have to be before you can be certain
of the size they are going to reach? I ask because I purchased a seven year
old half-Arabian late last fall. He was 14.2 hh, which seemed almost perfect
for me. We've been doing a lot of riding since then, and I kept thinking,
man, this horse is getting harder and harder to mount. I finally re-measured
him and he has grown from 14.2 hh to 15.2 hh. Any ideas on how much longer
he is going to grow???

I REALLY wanted a short horse, but I'm so in love with this one that he's not
going anywhere, so does anyone have suggestions for exercises I can do to
strength my body for mounting? I've been doing squats and stretching, but
that's just not cutting it.

Rhonda
