[RC] electrolytes burning mouth? - Jonni Jewell

Just curious where the "electrolytes burning the mouth" thoughts originated
from. (thus add Maalox or such to coat them) I know the horses mouth can
tolerate many more things than ours can. I have seen horses eat thistles,
stickers and such, and not be bothered, and had never really thought about
electrolytes burning or irritating the horses mouth. Can someone enlighten
me where this came from, and how the discovered it?
Jonni
