[RC] Poor Renegade - steve shawI once owned a fabulous horse named Sierra Fadwah's Renegade. He is one of the strongest horse I have ever had. Thank you Jackie B. One time riding him with friends in a Santa Cruz park we got into a nest of yellow jackets. It was on a hill side and they unloaded all of us and took off through the brush, trying to brush off the critters. We finally got them back and continued on, though Renegade kept tossing his head uncharacteristically. Back at the ranch while untacking him there was a yellow jacket, still attached to his face. Yeow! Poor guy, he put up with so much from me..... he has a great life now though, on 60 acres of grass overlooking the Monterey Bay, and getting out 3-4 times a week on trail rides. Hey, I want that life! One thing I have solidly learned. Anytime my horse or the horses around me start REALLY swishing their tails and anyone bucks, I don't even look around or stop. I TAKE OFF.
