PLEASE>PLEASE<PLEASE tell us how to teach hobbling!!!!!!!I'd like to do it, but us easterners have no clue.(they didn't teach that at the dressage, hunter barns I learned at.)

Now that's an intriguing idea.  I'd already
decided I was going to have to train my mare
to hobble, because she paws endlessly when
tied to a trailer.  (One of my nicknames
for her is "Backhoe.")

She also walks off on me when I'm mounting.
I'd never thought that the hobbles could be
used to tackle this, too.

I'll be sure to train her well, though, before
trying the mounting idea.  Wouldn't want her
panicking with me on her back, her hobbled,
and no way to get the hobbles off!
