Re: [RC] Bute 4 days before racing - Ed and Wendy HauserThe AERC rule is "no detectable amount". A detectable amount relates to analytical chemistry and not to how much would actually affect a horse. I was told by a vet drawing blood at a ride that bute can be detected for months. On that basis, you should not ride. Ed.
