[RC] Bone Spavin - Val Nicoson

There is a *possibility* my 7 yo mare might have DJD
of spavin in at least one hock and who knows about the
other hock. Someone suggested that the way she is
currently moving and her lameness issue might be
caused by spavin. Will be having this checked into in
the near future after tax season.
Meanwhile...once the hock fuses and I understand this
could take up to ??? how long...is it possible for a
horse with spavin to do CTR and LD endurance rides
once the hock/s have fused?
Not looking at doing anything over 50 miles anyway and
even that is a looong way off for us.
Or is any horse with spavin destined for light riding
use only?
Val
