[RC] SE Region Rides - Lra1222Hi! <<Is anyone in Ridecamp in the SE region? ? If so what are the easier versus more difficult rides? ?Any comments about any of the SE rides?>> Biltmore is also one of my favorite rides- one of the more difficult in the SE, but absolutely beautiful, well-marked trails. Wonderful management, food, etc. Lots of room to camp. Liberty Run in Augusta, Ga. is an easy ride-- fast, relatively flat trails-- great management, wonderful food and prizes, well-marked trails.Lots of Camping room-- next to a lake. It will be run this year as a 2 day ride Memorial Day weekend (last weekend of May) and again in the middle of October. Million Pines- Soperton, Ga. first weekend of April-- easy, flat trails-- some areas of deep sand-- wonderful ride, well-marked trails-- you can't get lost here!! Leatherwood-- one of the more difficult rides in the SE-- very hilly (mountains to us from the lowlands!), little bit rocky, great management, prizes, and food! Beautiful campgrounds with stalls available. Last weekend of March. Near Statesville, N.C. Oconee WMA ride-- middle of June this year, easy/moderate trails, will be hot!! Good ride, plenty of room to camp- good food, prizes, etc. Carolina Classic (i.e.-- JD's ride)-- flat, well-marked trails, some sand, great management, wonderful food (awesome chicken-veggie soup on Friday!!)-plenty of room to camp, meeting is indoors. Weekend after Thanksgiving. Bethune, S.C. These are the absolute must-do rides for me every year-- all have great trails, management, and amenities!
