Re: [RC] Sport Saddle owners - Karla Watson

My equine chiropractor (Dr. Michael Partington) who is considered a very reputable equine chiro says the treeless saddles are the best thing he has seen for horses with any back problems. He did not see any problem with HW riders in them. He said that if we all rode balanced and bareback, our horses would be better off. So a treeless is close to riding bareback and he said he rarely sees any back or chiropractic problems with them. My sports saddle has reduced my chiro bill to $0 and my horse moves better than he has ever moved in his life. If he were in any pain (like he was with treed saddles) he would certainly let me know. I ride with a Skito pad. This has been my experience.

I believe it's Jessica Jahiel's newsletter that covered treeless saddles and
heavyweight riders, stating that this was way too much stress on the horse's
back.
