Re: [RC] All boarding sucks!! - JUDYK89

Well, looks like you're lumping the boarders together also :0)

I board out of necessity, not sure if I'll ever be able to get my own place, but I do dream about it.  I board at a no frills place, I'm there twice a day, every day.  I DO complain when even the simplest things aren't done, like feeding my horse.  I clean my own paddock more than once a day, and supply extra hay so I can "free feed."  The management gets upset when I complain, but I don't complain just to hear my own voice.  I find the people that complain where I am, are the people that are actually there and SEE what's not being done, or being done incorrectly. Not all board places are like Mary's, I wish I was closer to her.  A place like that around here would have a waiting list years long.

I have never boarded my horses, but I have several friends that run boarding facilities and I will tell you that they are very hard workers.  Like Mary said, the boarders come first. I've board horses for people and will never do it again.  They either don't pay on time or constantly complain.  But I notice that they aren't the ones checking their horses on a daily basis either.
These people that lump entire groups together crack me up.
