[RC] [Guest] Desoto Saddles - Ridecamp Guest

Behalf Of Jerry & Susan Milam

I love my Desoto. I've ridden in it for 5 years and absolutely love it. Up
until this year, Fly loved it too but apparently he's muscled up and grown a
very thick carpet this winetr and getting a bit sour under saddle which is
definitely Saddle related, because my other mount, Dandy is slamming the
ears back when I use it this year. Dandy is a grey a extremely sensitive and
much broader that Fly. He was complaining way earlier about pinching.

I emailed Marilyn and she advised me to make wire patterns as she describes
on her website and send her the photos she advised to take and she would
analyze what action to take if any with modifying my saddle. I've really not
needed much cust service after the sale but she's been very helpful with
this fit problem that has developed. She will take the wire patterns and put
them inside a saddle with my size tree and see what is happening to my boys.

I got my Desoto in '97 after using a Crosby Equilibrium. I didn't have a bit
of problem transitioning to the Desoto because it is so well balanced. The
western seat was a bigger crotch twist than the Crosby but no big deal.

I love the saddle and am impressed with her service.

Can I get some feedback from some people who own a Desoto Saddle? I would
like to know the pros and cons, after purchase customer service,
any fitting
problems you may have experienced.

I have gotten a lot of response regarding using dressage saddles for
trail/endurance riding. Can I get some feedback regarding the
Desoto Saddle
vs Dressage Saddle, as I am trying to make a decision regarding my next
saddle to purchase for trail (lots of trail riding).

Also, I would like to know where in Western Carolina would one obtain a
degree as a Master English Saddler? I noticed this on the Desoto
Website???

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you could give.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!
