After seeing the posts about AERC BCs in LD rides - I looked up a few 
of the regions for the 2002 season.

Region     BC offered     Total LD rides     % with BC
West       5              38                 13 %
PS         5              15                 33 %
SE         30             33                 91 %
CT         30             30                100 %

PS offered more AERC BCs this year than in the past.

Most of the rides I've been to in the W and PS offer an
award for best horse or horse of excellence if they
don't award an AERC BC in the limited distance ride.
