    Yes, Deb Bennett does say 7" per 1000lbs in her books.
     But, as you note and as I said, 8" is most likely a
    better number.  I just wanted to offer both numbers.
    :)
    
    And these numbers are not endurance specific.  They
    are functional horse specific. ;)
