    The original rationale for the proposed change was to find a way to allow LD
    competitors 6 hours to complete the event, but not disqualify riders that
    finished the physical course in 6 hours, and took an additional amount of
    time to reach pulse criteria. This change would enable that since their ride
    time is calculated based upon when they cross the finish line, not when the
    pulse criteria is met. If the BC forms for LD were also changed, to specifiy
    that the pulse time was to be used, not the ride time, would it then be an
    acceptable (or  desirable) rule change?

    OK, I'll bite...what is the rationale from the proposer for making the
    change?  Statistical?  Easier for the Ride Manager? Why would we want to
    base BC score on THAT time instead of placement time?  I must be missing
    something here...
