Re: RE: Gu

For a quick, non-filling and decent breakfast, I have either Ensure or
Slim-Fast, only I make mine w/ ice cream:).

Gu is Yucky! It tastes like... well... goo. Instead of Gu, I have a little
squeeze bottle I put honey/molasses in (yum). Besides, all those
sports/energy things are $$$. Just take what you like. I try to take things
both my horse and I like. Water, Pepsi (gotta) or lemonade, granola,
homemade trailmix, cut up apples and carrots, fig bars (Bobby expects them),
etc. Bobby has his own water bottle in which I put grape Kool-Aid. The girls
are more into "traditional horse food" when they're on the trail.

My fav trail lunch is turkey/bacon sandwhiches, cantalope or watermelon. I
try to eat things that have water in them. Oh, sometimes, I'll take along a
lb. of sweet feed if I happen to have some, and I eat it, too. It's not too
bad with a bit of honey on it :).

There is only one kind of sport bar that I like (I bought it at Galyan's so
I wouldn't have to stop anywhere on the way home one day). Can't remember
what it's called, but I'd recognize the package. It was pretty good. I'd buy
it on sale.

Waiting for Laundry to get done so I can go to the Barn-
Cheryl in WNY
