Re: RC: Problem with stall walking mare



I'm not from California - Massachusetts.  Summer hay prices for us have huge 
variations. If we can get local hay, it is around $125/ton.  Often we have 
to go to New York at up to $190/ton, which is a year round price.  I don't 
have pasture where I am.  I don't know where you are in California, but have 
you thought of having a trailer load of hay brought in from Idaho, where it 
is much cheaper.  Our friend in Nevada pays $60/ton for grass hay and around 
$90/ton for alfalfa.
