Feeding a nice soupy equine senior "slop" is just the ticket, or, as Lif
suggested, some very well-soaked beet pulp soup with a some soaked
grass/alfalfa pellets in it.  Either one.  If she starts losing weight, you
can add a tad of corn oil as well.
