I'm sure lots of people will respond to this, but since we're so in
love with feeding beet pulp here's my 2c worth.  I've never heard of
any problems with feeding the stuff dry, but surely considering your
nursing mare's need for adequate hydration it  would be better to
*add* a bit more hydration to your mare by soaking beet pulp
first!.  We soak half a day - we prepare the evening's meal in the
morning so the pulp will soak all day & prepare the breakfast meal in
the evening.  Lif
