For everyone's info, there is a nice little article in Horse Illustrated
(just got my new mag....June?) about feeding myths.  It has included some
info about beet pulp (debunking the notion that it will swell up and
explode in the horse's stomach!).  Has some other good info, some I knew,
some I didn't.  Check it out.
