DO NOT USE THE OINTMENT ON AN OPEN WOUND OF ANY KIND! 
Arnica is used on closed skin for muscle soreness and
bruising.  Can be taken p.o. before and after surgery
to reduce swelling and bruising.  Can find the
homeopathic remedy in stores.
