Check with the individual manager.  Some want all riders to pre-enter, and
that would include sending payment.  Others (myself included) don't want you
to send ANYTHING before the ride at all, because we are busy doing other stuff
and don't want to have to keep track of it.  So--call the individual and find
out how they handle it.
