Horse falling asleep??

I hope someone will have had the same experience I am having and will
tell me that this is only a phase my horse is going thru. I have a 5
year old gelding Arabian that I have been riding for about 6 months
pretty consistantly. When I got him, he had never been on a trail or
off the ranch he was born on. So actually he is doing great so far
except for only little problem he keeps having. On the way back to the
trailer after a ride (mostly trotting) he starts yawning like he is
going to sleep. Then lately he has starting just falling down. It is
like he is so tired and so relaxed (yes he is an Arab) that his legs
just give out. He goes down to his knees and then just calmly stands
back up. I have never fallen off and he is doens't have any trouble
standing up again. Then we continue on our way. He isn't having any
muscle tighting either. Will he grow out of this????

One other problem I have with him is when he starts getting sweaty on
his face, he starts shaking his head. He will do this at a walk, trot
or canter. It can really throw both of us off balance. So far he has
managed to not lose his balance and fall. He also likes to rub his head
on his front legs and has attempted to do this at a trot also. How can
I break him of this habit????

Thanks for your help.
