Can't remember what Maggie's reason was, but in hot weather, the last thing I 
would want to do is start a group of novice riders and/or novice horses in 
the worst heat of the day!   And this far north, in early spring or late 
fall, I'd hate to make my slower LD'er's ride after dark...
