Why should you be concerned with what your trainer wants?
Aren't you the one paying her money?  I know that sounds
pretty simplistic.  But think about this, in the business
sense...the customer is always right.

Maybe trainers wouldn't have so much power if we just stood
up to them and told them this is our horse and we know how
he/she reponds.  Give this a try for a couple of lessons.
What do they have to lose...they are still getting paid.
