Re: RC: Hurricane Floyd report

Hi from windy rainy but otherwise intact Jacksonville, Fl

Well, Floyd has been here and gone. It did relatively little damage to
Jacksonville, but from what I can gather from the TV, the beaches got hit
pretty hard. Daytona Beach lost a good size section of pier, Jacksonville
Beach Pier is a little worse for wear. St Augustine and Vilano got hit pretty
hard, lots of flooding, downed power lines, etc.

Thank you to JEA who did a marvelous job keeping power to the city. Mine was
only lost for about an hour this morning, and never went off through the
brunt of the storm. Guess I have to go fish all the patio furniture out of
the pool now! Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and good wishes and
offers to help. I think my only cleanup is the aformentioned fishing
expedition and to sweep small branches and twigs off the sidewalk.

To everyone in the North and south Carolina, my prayers are with you that
Floyd doesn't hit you any harder that it did us! Good luck!

Juli and the critters.
