Hey Heidi, hi from so. cal. My 19 yr old mammoth jack has gotten mares in
foal that younger horse studs couldnt.  He is extremely fertile (thank
goodness since breeding is his only real job!!)  He just got a 22 yr old
maiden mare in foal this year.  Please dont tell him he isnt supposed to be
able to do that.  He is rather proud of his 416 ppm sperm count. <bg>     A
friend of mine bred her older mare to a teenage stallion and had a colt that
has placed nationally in halter.  The mom was 29  years old when she foaled!
I love how mother nature likes to put dents in scientific armor.  I just had
to tease ya a little bit.  Besides, I can brag on my jack this way. <<BG>>
