Re: Norco Riverdance Ride



I too believe that ALL of the horses/mules should be well in  hand at any
type of competiton.  I heard that one of the horses at the Norco ride kicked
a p&r person and then kicked the vet too.  At the Tevis  a horse kicked one
of the vets and then kicked its owner too.  This shouldnt be happeing,   yet
it is.   What ever happened to train your horse at home not at the
competition?  I like the idea of DQing a dangerous horse from a ride.  Most
of the time that horse/mule  is a wreck looking for a location.  No one
should be forced to put up with an obnoxious animal (or human for that
matter<g>)  I hope that RM will start DQing dangerous animals.  A well
planted hoof can mame and/or kill.   Maybe we should require all newbies to
complete 10 CTRs before they can move on to endurance riding.  That way they
can learn safety,  equitation,  trail manners and ground control! <BG>
