That clearly does not refer to the activities of a control vet at an
AERC ride.  So under that regulation there is no problem with
non-licensed vets acting as control vets at AERC rides as long as they
do not diagnose, treat, etc.  It is reassuring to see that we've been
doing it right all along.

Which clearly does not prohibit the use of the letters DVM as long as
they are not used to imply licensure.

Yep.  People pushing agendas often practice such.

IMO trying to fix things that ain't broke just to extend ever-more
control over ride managers puts the welfare of the AERC at risk.
