RC:Curiousity Shoeing Question-regional prices

Barb Peck bpeck@together.net
I live in Northern Vermont, and the farrier prices vary widely,
farrier to farrier: from $65.00 to $100.00 for 4 standard steel
shoes. Pads are an additional $5.00 per foot.
Trim prices vary widely too, from $15.00 per horse to $35.00/per.

My farrier is on the high end, but I like his work and have stuck with him
thru his price increases. ( about 15 years ago he charged $40.00
per horse....... now it's $100.00 ).
