Re: RC: Curiousity Shoeing Question

My farrier/husband charges $15 for a trim, $35 for two front keg shoes
and a trim, $55 for 4 keg shoes and a trim (St. Croix Eventers with
clips are an extra $5 a pair). We charge extra for unruly and vicious
horses (training which the owners should be doing BEFORE the farrier
arrives!) and for trimming extremely long feet and foundered horses. If
he has to trim around a foot 2-3 times, that is more than one trim and
takes more time. We charge a $5 trip charge to everyone which we hope
averages out in the long run...I don't think anyone would pay more than
that up here in northern Michigan...some even complain about that but we
don't want clients who will complain about spending an extra $5 on their
horse anyway!!
